Teamwork [Empirehouse Style]Posted on May 9, 2017, by Jennifer Klitzke
What do you get when you blend innovative pre-planning with a sunny, Spring Saturday and six Empirehouse Glaziers?
Answer: Teamwork [Empirehouse Style].
There was a lot of innovative pre-planning and preparation prior to the Saturday, May 6 glazing installation at the 1919 University job site by Foreman Mitch Schindele and Glazier Craig Soloman. Mitch staged approx. 5,434 total square feet of high-performance insulated glass units for the crew and Craig helped erect and prep. Then on Saturday an Empirehouse Glazing crew of six from other job sites came together to install the glass units into the 2.5″ x 7.5″ captured thermal composite pressure-wall framing system at the 1919 University project.
The Glazing crew of Dan Weiss, Dan Gile, Mark Waggoner, Matt Barland, Sean Wilmes, and Tommy Gramenz safely set 154 glass units in under seven hours through the pre-planning, staging, and efficient workmanship. Two teams of two Glaziers installed glass units from 80-foot JLG lifts while two Glaziers loaded glass units from the ground next to a well-traveled University Avenue. The Glazing Team averaged a glass lite installation every 2-1/2 minutes. Way to go!
