Giving Back

Empirehouse is proud of the work we do to "GIVE BACK" to the community.  These are just a few of the recent examples of our efforts to help support charitable work in our area.  Thank you Empirehouse Team Members for your dedication!

MS 150

On June 11, 2010 Team Empirehouse will take to the road again joining hundreds of others to help end the devastating effects of Multiple Sclerosis. Last year Empirehouse built a team to participate in the MS 150 Bike Tour from Duluth to the Twin Cities.  We ended up building a team of 9 people and raising $11,000.00. Not only did we raise money in hopes of helping to find a cure, but Team Empirehouse made many memories along the ride.  While a 150 mile ride sounds difficult,  and maybe  unreachable for many,  please consider riding with us or joining us for our support event.  For all of us that rode last year, we realized this was just a small contribution for the many people that suffer from Multiple Sclerosis.

National Engineers Week

Since 2001, Empirehouse's efforts with CSI and the National Engineer's Week program has brought local 6th grade students a heightened  awareness of the role that engineers play in our everyday lives. This program helps to encourage young students to consider opportunities and possible careers in the various fields of engineering. By teaching the basic principles of compression and tension with simple every-day examples, students put what they've learned in the classroom into a building exercise as they create their own geodesic domes from non-traditional building materials - gumdrops and toothpicks! Over the past 7 years, the program has grown to a full day event, teaching on the average of 200 6th grade students each year.
