Empirehouse Hosts Dunwoody College of TechnologyPosted on May 6, 2011, by Jennifer Klitzke
On Thursday May 5, 2011 Empirehouse hosted 16 students from Dunwoody College of Technology who toured our offices and fabrication facility and learned about glass and aluminum framing systems. The tour began with an explanation of a glazing contractor and how Empirehouse approaches projects with architects, general contractors, and building owners.
Students toured our plant and saw how storefront systems, curtain wall, and doors are fabricated. They also learned the about glass strength and breakage patterns by product: annealed glass, wire glass, laminated glass and tempered glass. Students asked many questions and seemed very intrigued with the tour.
Empirehouse regularly offers group tours to architectural firms, construction companies, and to colleges and universities that offer construction-related degree programs.
