Empirehouse Receives International Safety AwardPosted on May 8, 2015, by Jennifer Klitzke
On May 8, 2015. Empirehouse earned an international award for safety excellence during the FCA International Awards Ceremony in Chicago. The FCA CREST Awards are given by FCA International, an international construction contractor association that represents more than 7,000 signatory contractors throughout North America. Awards are given to contractors who are proven safest in their respective crafts. The FCA CREST Awards began as a way to encourage and recognize excellence in safety training. Winners are objectively selected based on key safety metrics, such as years the company has had a safety program, safety training, injury/illness rates, recordable incident rates, and EMR trends. Winners earn the right to say they are the safest contractor in their respective category.
“The FCA CREST Awards were created to encourage and recognize contractors who have led an effective safety program throughout the year,” explained Anthony Darkangelo, CEO of FCA International. “CREST Award winners have proven that protecting their employees is a priority at their company, and that they are a leader in construction safety.”
This marks the second year in a row that Empirehouse, Inc. has won this international safety award in the “Architectural Glass & Metal: 50,001-100,000 man hours worked” category. When asked about the reasons for his company’s continued success in the CREST Awards, General Manager James Bringle said, “Empirehouse’s commitment to safety has grown largely due to an ever-changing industry and demanding time schedule. These increases demanded a safety program that meets and exceeds the expectations of our customers as well as ourselves. Empirehouse invested in the necessary training and equipment to make those that work for us safe.”
James Bringle accepted the award in Chicago on May 8. Empirehouse received a plaque and poster to display at our plant and offices.
