Empirehouse is a three-generation, family-owned architectural glass, metal and glazing contractor headquartered in Mounds View, MN. This year St. Thomas University nominated Empirehouse for the 2017 Minnesota Family Business Awards. One-hundred-and-ten Companies applied for this year’s Award where only 40 were selected to enter into an extensive review process which accessed how family members work together, how they prepare the next generation for leadership, how they maintain success, how they confront challenges, change, and adjust using innovative thinking, how they treat employees, and serve their customers and community.
Out of the many outstanding family-owned businesses nominated who add value to Minnesota’s economy and overall quality of life, Empirehouse was selected as one of five Minnesota Family Business Award finalist who were honored at the awards event held Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Hilton Minneapolis.
“I am so thankful to our great employees who make up our great company and deliver great results by taking our Core Values to heart: Teamwork, Innovative, and Going Above and Beyond to meet our clients’ needs,” said Empirehouse President Michael Gilbert. “They are the backbone for making this award possible!”
The other finalist named are Celarity, EDCO Products, Inc., Ideal Printers, and The Specialty Mfg. Co. In addition to the Finalists, five Companies were selected as Honorees: Dalsin Industries, Felling Trailers, Inc., New Market Bank, Schuler Shoes, and Supportive Living Solutions.
